As willow said, you're at it early this morning, but it seems that three of your fans are also.
Believe it or not, but I must have had a yen for fruit last night, for I wrote today's post "prophetically inspired" by your photo that had not yet appeared on your site.
Maybe I'll change my name to "DANA, SEER AND PROPHETESS EXTROIDINARE. Readings by appointment only. Ten dollars per minute."
I am pretty new to writing from prompts and it amazes me every time...I look at the prompt and am totally sure that I can't think of anything and then a moment or two later I write something! It's like magic! lol
Magpies are wonderful for getting the creative juices flowing. Last week's Magpie yielded about 10 pages to my short story/book resulting in a late Magpie posting. I had to make a point to be a little early this week.
Oh Puhleeze Willow, can you delete numbers 47 and 48 for me? Screwed up again--see, I used the polite word "screwed"--wanted to make sure you noticed--grin.
Truly, I'm sorry--no, I'm embarrassed (the truth, finally!) to be such a nuisance each week.....
I still LOVE this exercise, you cannot put me out for a couple little errors??? Steve
Oops, I forgot to comment last night. When I saw the Magpie pic, I started thinking in terms of poison apples, and got that old 80s tune "Poison Arrow" stuck in my head. Ear worm!
I love reading everyone's work. Sometimes I comment and sometimes I don't. Thanks Willow for being SO awesome. I hope you enjoy how Nina SImone moved me last night. Bisous, Love and Light, Sender
Whoops! More haste, less speed - sorry for the wrong link. Sometimes I look at prompts and am completely clueless - this time I had a clue, but not a very original one :-/
i play again this week - thanks willow for the picture - it must be so exciting for you to see what the people are doing with it… have a great weekend!
Wow, this one was posted bright and early and so many jumped right on it....i guess the early bird gets the worm....:-) Wonderful prompt Willow as always! Thanks for all you do! :-)
This Mag was so much fun-both to read and write! I initially was gonna do prose, but the first two lines ended up rhyming so I made it a poem! Haha, I feel like a terrible Roald Dahl :) Gonna go read the mags I haven't read now!
I had fun with this one, too. I have only read Brian's so far (I try to write mine first as to not be influenced by everyone else's ideas.) So, now I will go see who thinks like me. I am sure I am not the only one who thought of the witch giving a princess a poison apple, am I? :) Thanks, Willow.
i liked the picture... the imperfect apple... first i had felt it should have a been a luscious, shining apple... then i felt, no... this apple was like any one of us... with little imperfections here and there, yet tempting...
Welcome, welcome, all you new comers to The Mag!!! Hope you enjoyed sharing your first tale. Looking forward to reading more of your writing here at MT!
Well, the picture was quite mischievous so i found it bit interesting to write on. I am a naive story writer. I am looking for honest opinions. Thanks. :)
Had a hard time with this one. Thought about it all week. Don't want to give up just because it's hard. (What kind of example of an English teacher would I be???) Thanks for the continuous challenge Willow! :0)
Thanks 4 giving me the opp 2 participate in this proj. It's a gd idea. Just heard about it yesterday, so this might not b my best wk. But I'm putting it 4ward anyway. I like it. It's fun.
What a wonderful idea. I really miss projects like this. I'd love to give it a go for next time. Like Kym, I'm wondering when does the next picture go up?
Oh, I think I got something in the works for this one... in the meantime, I'll post an oldie.
ReplyDeleteWow, you're at it early this morning, Jeff!

ReplyDeleteThe bitten apple could be lost innocence or it could be a fatal flaw.
ReplyDeleteLane, I thought the bite would add some interesting texture!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty new to writing from prompts and it amazes me every time...I look at the prompt and am totally sure that I can't think of anything and then a moment or two later I write something! It's like magic! lol
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying the magpies.:-)

ReplyDeleteLove the apple/fall theme, fits my mood exactly today.
PS: Steveroni: I do it all the time (Posting my link again & again to the Magpie linky list thing. Luckily, it wasn't me doing it again this week...)
ReplyDeleteSo many, many ways of interpreting a bitten apple!
ReplyDeleteRemeber apples can give you the pip...
ReplyDeleteOops, I forgot to comment last night. When I saw the Magpie pic, I started thinking in terms of poison apples, and got that old 80s tune "Poison Arrow" stuck in my head. Ear worm!
ReplyDeleteMr Linky still doesn't like my new address HERE
ReplyDeleteNo worries, I fixed your Linky, Jinksy. (that was fun to say) ;^)
ReplyDeleteForbidden fruit?
ReplyDeleteIs that a honey crisp apple? One of my very favorites.
ReplyDeleteAnother take on an Apple Story

ReplyDeletewell, i'm late as usual, but up goes my post! hope everyone enjoys!
ReplyDeleteI am very grateful I cruised on over to the Magpie, the prompt made me smile. I just had my first week of school. My students are a bit devilish.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read the rest. Such a clever-crunchy bunch we are!
ReplyDeleteMy first time posting a magpie but seemed fitting with sending my boys back to school this week and all the memories that come with it.
ReplyDeleteMr. Linky is blinky. My original sign-up and comment disappeared. Wonder how that happens??
ReplyDeleteRick
well, it's my first time here, and i'm excited...
ReplyDeleteBack after a long absence, and hoping to become a regular!
ReplyDeletenice image, though it looks pretty simple but i really had a tough time to write something around a half eaten apple.
ReplyDeleteSounds like I'm not the only one who went the way I did...now that mine's up, I can go see! Loving magpie.
ReplyDeletecome on over for some apple pie at my house!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start autumn! Great fun to write based on a picture. :-)
ReplyDeleteI had fun with this one, too. I have only read Brian's so far (I try to write mine first as to not be influenced by everyone else's ideas.) So, now I will go see who thinks like me. I am sure I am not the only one who thought of the witch giving a princess a poison apple, am I? :) Thanks, Willow.
ReplyDeleteMy link isn't posting on Mr. linky for some reason. Have tried several times. My Magpie is A Not So Fairytale Ending
ReplyDeleteNeeding a break with little time to plot, I give you a short one. I can almost hear the bite being taken out of the apple.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are so inspiring. This one came to me this morning as I was just waking up.
ReplyDeleteTwo writes this week. Willo, loved this weeks photo
ReplyDeleteHello, first time i managed to post properly, I think I have posted twice, on 102 and 103, could you please delete 102?

ReplyDeleteHi - apples are so inspiring - they can lead anywhere - so biblical too! Thanks Willow!
ReplyDeletei liked the picture... the imperfect apple... first i had felt it should have a been a luscious, shining apple... then i felt, no... this apple was like any one of us... with little imperfections here and there, yet tempting...

ReplyDeletePG
Better late than never...
ReplyDeleteI am with Karen and Prayer Girl on this... better late than never! This apple was indeed irresistible :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my Magpie!!
Enjoy... While I enjoy all these fascinating reads myself! :)
Squeezing in just under the wire (again)--but my magpie is flying, and I'm off to read!
ReplyDeleteHi! My first time. Didn't turn out very well, but fun all the same!
ReplyDeleteI am back for a second week. My Magpie is here.
ReplyDeleteAfter some sleep I will begin reading all these wonders!
I love the picture! Thank you so much for the inspiration. It's my first time joining :)

Hello, just wondering how often a new picture is posted?
