  4. I loved this prompt! Lamps to me suggest the old ways, where there was no electricity. Middle Ages and the Rennaissance, perhaps. Great picture! :D

  9. I love the lamp...perhaps because it is a reminder of the founder of nursing Florence Nightingale.."The Lady with the Lamp."
Anyhow, I have added my name this week because my story is from a few years back..

  26. This photo really took me on a memory trip to the past - oil lamps, cold, old stone house in England, a safari park and an Ethiopian elephant. It was 1985 and my daughter was seven...

  29. I wrote two versions of the same poem. Intriguing how leaving one to fester in me birthed something similar yet entirely different.

  62. I didn't think I was going to have time to do something this week - especially when my first idea turned out to be rather a lengthy gothic horror sort of an idea, that I'm still twiddling with, and may take a little time to complete.

Not wanting to miss out on getting a submission in place before the deadline, I squeezed out a double quick piece of flash. Phew! In the nick of time...

  63. I kinda cheated and posted a combined effort. My first attempt at Haiku, too. Not sure how I've done. I've been time limited this week. Grrrrrrrr..........!

  64. Having little of my own to bring to the lamp, I have brought a bit of Emily Dickinson. Enjoy...
