Well, I just put mine in after willow's. I hope you enjoy! It's called Liquid Love No 3, a creative title. I have no idea what Acqua di Parma means, so I just had to use my creativity!
Thank you Willow! Perfect... exactly what I was looking for. Mine will be up as soon as I can get the words to paper. Have been milling something around for days, between meetings and daily life, trying to find the moments to record the thoughts.
Long time listener, first time caller... Over the past couple of months I've really enjoyed reading the fantastic work these writing prompts have inspired. So I thought it was time to have a go myself. Thanks for the great prompt!
This is a scent of the 20s and 30s, light and elegant. I have tried to match my piece to the fragrance. The scent is unisex, hence the male protagonist.
I thought I was done with love poems till I fall in love again. That was a thought gone past because this weeks picture only made me think of love or new love. Great picture! :)
I must say, I am so impressed, with the calibre of wildly incredible, delicious and magnificent writings I have found here at Magpie. Thank you Willow.
As I said yesterday, I think it was yesterday, Magpie Tales and One Stop Poetry are the best collection of writers anywhere on the net and I am humbled by each and every one of you.
Thank you will never be enough though I assure you I am beyond grateful.
Wow. My lust for all things Italian continues to grow. Thank you and I hate you and watch while I grab your face and kiss you on the lips and then turn my back and gesture wildly, stomping all the way....
Ooh, I colect perfume bottles, precisely for this classic vintage allure of times gone by and romances ignited. Looking forward to where this takes me...
It is sweet (!) irony that this beautiful image perfectly suited a poem I wrote in August as response to a prompt at another blog. Nice to have it tested by more readers at the perfume counter. :)
Dear Magpies: How could this image not convey sexy or funny sexy? Anyone have a fan? I am getting too many hot flashes! Italian men and Italian cologne; are you kidding me? Kick-starting the old romantic in me. Well trying to!
To steveroni, there are rules to haiku which are too involved to explain even if I understood them. Generally they are 3 lines composed of 17 syllables 5-7-5. This is simplified as they are really moras which are different than syllables. A little Googling will get you a more accurate description.
After a false start (where the main character wandered off with the plot line and ended up givig me a story with no perfume bottle in it at all), I managed to come up with another quick one for the pot. Phew...

Hey, I DO need to know if my haiku are really haiku--or, rather, what are haiku rules?
Seriously.
Thanks! For EVERYTHING........

ReplyDeleteHi, mine's up. Just a simple story this week.

OOH, that was fun! I took a real event from my gaudy 80's adolescence and transported it back in time to the early 60's... magic!
ReplyDeleteThis little poem was the first thing that happened when I saw the bottle, I am still sneezing.....ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteIt's not quite a villanelle;
ReplyDeleteI just hope it doesn't smell.
This was my first ever Magpie Tales, and it was very interesting. I think I'll be doing this very often and I'm glad I found this blog :]
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this week's picture prompt. Sniffed out a good one there, Willow!
