  9. Blue Willow plate, made in China for the European market during British colonial rule. Three fishermen on the bridge, a fishing boat, two happy birds in the air and a thriving orchard onshore. God knows what the ideograms around the edge really say!

  31. I wrote about my childhood trip into the big city. We would shop and do lunch. I remember the big china section. I love it ... thus this blue plate ... being so special ... reminded me. (I came from a very small town an hr or so away from the big city)
