One little housekeeping issue...it would be very helpful if some of you might consider removing the anti-spam security stuff on your posts...makes leaving comments so much easier...thanks! And happy writing, my friends!
Moi aussi! I no longer bother with Word Verifiction and Moderation Applied blogs (*). Life's too short. Listen, bloggers, if you don't like the comments DELETE THEM. It's your right as the blog owner.
(*) Except Berowne's Weekly Quiz, which must be comment moderated for obvious reasons.
I find it more than annoying to retype the word verification and numbers three times only to find my comment still needing approval by the blog owner...
Hit back at them! If the blog has WV, comment, "I am a robot so can't read your writing." If it applies moderation, comment "I hope you approve of this comment." Tess . . as the Mag blog owner could you not simply delete posts which had WV or Moderation or both? Do the rest of us a favour?
Well the Fifth Horseman you will be missing some excellent offerings by J B-B! It is merely moderation, not having to prove you're not a robot. I believe the vile comments she refers to are not to do with Magpie but her page in general.
I don't use either the robot thing or moderation and I am fortunate in that the only nastiness I had to sort out was my page being in Romanian!!!
I just make sure that all comments go to my email - I can easily check and remove unwanted comments. I do have "approval" on once my post is 5-7 days old. I check every day so those get posted quickly - and rarely do my old posts get commented on. I AGREE. If one "visits" a lot, word verification is a hassle. I ONLY do enter the verification if I have been a long time follower. Often, I move on when I come across it otherwise.
I agree! Some of it is totally unreadable! I never let anonymous people comment on my Blogger blogs and it's never been a problem! Everyone has accounts so the only people I got rid of were spammers!
I did a short story rewrite on a story close to my heart and I have a surprise for any of you who come by. Thanks to all for your comments and cheering on for my poetry it's much appreciated as some of you know how hard it is to get readers especially of your caliber and I so enjoy the weekly challenge!
Mr Linky and my winkie don't know how to sychnie Blinky But the shards of icy white flakes still cut blocks off the old chip i once made love to the painter of the original art but that must have been in another life
This was such a fun photo for theme this week, thank you Tess! I'm also thanking the waves of internet that I have juice today. It seems the internet is being a bit Grinchy for me!

Well said! Once I know a blogger applies moderation or uses word verification I don't waste time visiting them.

Your link seems to be OK. Sometimes it takes several minutes before your entry appears in the list.

ReplyDelete…I admit I got a bit side tracked and the inspiration is loosely based on the image. Thanks, Tess, once again!
