I haven't seen this painting, as I think of Degas painting his dancers. But this could very well be a dancer in her bath. Nice prompt.
gave it a shot
Beauty as inspiration. Nicely done!
Such a beautiful prompt - wish I'd got to it earlier, now a lot of reading to catch up with!
I guess you have to listen to the lyrics of "Pirate Flag" linked in the caption of my Flag photo to find the round about reference to Degas' subject. Clearly I'm a prude...for the most part;-)Glad to be back again!

you step from your bath
wrapped softly in towel
gracefully poised
midst the fog of steam
your skin radiant
a'blush from the heat
your auburn hair
fondles damp 'round your shoulders
embraces your lithe neck
a sensuous vision
igniting a spark in my soul
stirring the passion of my heart
setting fire to my imagination
my love
your are venus
aphrodite
a goddess of desire
and my love
I can see your butt
So tell it like it is, why don't you? :)
