  8. Love the image Tess. Thank you. Last couple of weeks I've been absent due to some personal stuff. But I am back and look forward to reading everyone. Happy Holidays all and may the Muses of past, present and future of Christmas light your way to the perfect piece of prose.

  13. A Mother's Love is up - frantically written in ten minutes as I take a breather from last minute check list for my son's wedding on Friday.

Seasons greetings to everyone and whether or not you believe in the reason for the season, may your Christmas be filled with love, joy and peace as we give thanks for the blessings in our lives.

  17. Your poem, Tess, was as full of
darkness as it was light, in equal
    portions; mine dipped deeper
into the darker side of the season.
    Synchronicity abounds, for I logged
in as #44, my birth year.

  21. This is really weird.. I had a poem brewing in my mind a few days back... then I forgot about it... and today, I saw this Magpie prompt, and voila!! The (forgotten) poem returned to me, and just continued and completed itself in my mind, and found its way on my blog too!!
Thank you, Tess, for this beautiful picture...

Thursday will find me reading all the lovely pieces put up here... :))
    Have a great day, peeps!!

  25. Found this challenging. I'm not religious, so I chose to write about a queen and her long-awaited son, not the Madonna and her child. I meant for it to be a happy piece, but it came out dark.

Challenging though it may be, this is a great prompt! Thanks!

  32. The relationship between Mother and Child...oh the perspectives!

  33. I'm not really into religious iconography. My offer is there...

  34. Three comments down, I'm a little late in pointing out that because of passage of time, comments have been automatically closed on the stained glass poem to which my link above directs you. If anyone wants to make any observations on the poem, please use the comments box beneath my current post. Maybe head it 'stained glass' for clarity. Thanks, Tess, for finding out the hard way!
