here I am with another micro fiction. Thanks a lot from magpie Willow. Hope you like it. :-) http://everythingincoherrent.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/nowhere/
Wow, this one made my brain hurt...but it was fun! It is funny how a simple thing like pencils, or a toothbrush can bring forth so many cool ideas. Loved reading everyone's wonderful posts. Thank you Willow! :-)
Willow: I posted my link twice. The first time around, there were some technical difficulties (I was posting from my laptop & something got really messed up with the link & post). Hopefully it won't happen again!
Back from vacation - tale came to me righ away when I saw this. Will be spending some time today trying to catch up with the last 3 prompts - I've missed you all!
wow! the central image in the photo reminds me of the three lines in Yosa Buson's 'Four Seasons' poems:
ReplyDeleteIt penetrates into me;
stepping on the comb of my gone wife,
in the bedroom.
Great Photo!
Thanks, Arian. I hope everyone enjoys this one. It's wide open for possibilities!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the brush resting on, willow? And what type of brush is it?
ReplyDeleteOoh... definitely got something for this one... sort of.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe I had zilch for the pocket knife.
Aoife, it's whatever you see!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have another chance at a Magpie Tale.
ReplyDeleteThis was an interesting one Willow. The idea though for what to write about hit me instantly!
ReplyDeleteMany possibilities. It's amazing how one simple shot can mean so many different things! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI apologize for my ridiculous response to this prompt. It was late, I was tired, had a drink in hand....please forgive me.
ReplyDelete- Dina
Thought I would play along, as an idea struck me on seeing the pic.
ReplyDeleteThis time I managed to play!
ReplyDeleteNice picture! I enjoyed the memories this one brought back! Decided to try another week!
ReplyDeleteI make no excuses and have no explanation. It is what it is..and I'm as baffled as the next person.
ReplyDeleteThanks Willow, I think.
This is my first shot at a magpie tale... :P
ReplyDeleteI do not know who Sara is, and where this winter scene took place. I owe it all to the bristling toothbrush.
ReplyDeleteThank you Willow.
All done, another cheery tale! Thanks Willow!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a story so I tapped out a short poem. Thanks for the challenge.
A toothbrush is so handy to have around. Got my tale up this week.
ReplyDelete@Magpie Tales writers; feel a poem today!
ReplyDeleteI love this one!!
ReplyDeleteThis one hit me with sadness for some reason. I love old things and tortoise shell toothbrushes are certainly old. Great photo, Willow.
ReplyDeleteedentulous Haiku. :)
