Wow, it was fun to see all the participants this week, even though it was over the holiday weekend. Thanks to all of you who put forth the effort and produced some wonderful eggy tales and poems.

Another week, another challenge. Thanks, willow!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you guys do when you don't like a magpie? I like getting comments, so I try to comment on others' magpies, but sometimes I just don't like it, and I can't think of anything nice or encouraging to say so I don't comment. What do you do?
ReplyDeleteOopsy! Sorry. Last week I didn't give the direct link. My bad. I've done it correctly this time.
ReplyDeleteKat
Well this is a bit of a weird one for me. But I think I like the result. I'm particularly interested in how the women respond to my poem.

ReplyDeleteYou are not obliged to like it or to comment. Everyone has different likes and preferences. If you're not inclined to, just don't say anything.
As a writing teacher, I will say this though: feedback is crucial to the process, and always appreciated. Usually one can find something good in a piece - a bit of imagery, a funny idea, a really good word... Everyone's taking a risk, with a few days' notice to produce something and share it with the world. In that respect, a good old fashioned "way to go!" could be more valuable than you think. :-)
PS - One of my biggest blog fans (my sister) has said that she is absolutely inspired by the show of support she sees on my magpie posts every week. She thinks it's magical to see, coming from all over the world. I agree - you're all tops in my books.
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree with Jennifer. I like to think of our Magpie buddies as cheerleaders, go-go-going us on to greater creativity!
ReplyDeleteHum. I felt like an old spinster who smears lipstick all over her mouth, you know, can't color within the lines!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteTough one, Willow!

I have posted mine. Early! This is unbelievable for me as I always push the deadline or miss it completely. I mean I'm still working on some Theme Thursdays from last year and a couple of Magpie Tales from weeks ago...
ReplyDeletePucker up everyone ...
This one was tough, not sure I can do it justice, but wanted to give it a whirl just for the practice, if nothing else.
ReplyDeleteKiss, kiss. Smack, smack. Mine's posted.
ReplyDeleteA good girly choice of subject this time, Willow. Mine's up!

ReplyDeleteDear Willow: Please n.b. I am having difficulty accessing the posts after #38 because (I believe) there are so many wonderful stories the home page cannot contain any more fine poems and fiction! Is anyone else having this difficulty! I will read back here to see how to remedy this tech-glitch. Might just me?
ReplyDeleteI'm able to access them with no problem, Chiccoreal. Everything seems to be fine on this end.
