I know many of you will be busy with the holiday weekend,
but I'm going to go ahead and post a prompt, for those of you
who would like to participate. Is it my imagination, or do the
magpie posts just keep getting better and better? It's thrilling
to see all the wonderful talent out there. Thanks so much for
your participation. I don't know about you, but I am having
heaps of fun!
Just a note of bloggy housekeeping. It has been mentioned,
and I wholeheartedly agree, that it might be more convenient
for readers, if you would wait and sign up after your Magpie
Tale has been posted.
So, from now on, please sign up with the URL, linking directly
to your current magpie post.
Get it? Got it? Good!
So, without further ado, here is this week's photo. Have a
wonderful Easter weekend, my friends.
Nice! And fitting for the season too. This should be interesting...
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of sounding obtuse, we're still targeting Monday night, right? I don't want to miss the bus (oops wrong challenge), I mean boat.
ReplyDeleteI think I might end up with two links there, please delete one :)
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I think so, but in my case I just wanted to post early (be one of the first so I'm at the top of the list).
Now that it's link when you post, you could also post whenever(before the linky expires) because people won't visit until they see your link on the linky anyway.
Yes, try to have your post up no later than 8:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday. (I updated the instructions on the sidebar) Although, the widget is usually open until I post the new one on Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteAlso, make sure you don't sign up in Linky until your post is up!
Sorry to be Mr Thickie, but what is it? Some kind of decorative egg?
ReplyDeletePete, yes, it's a hand painted wooden egg from Russia, but you can make it be whatever your muse fancies.
ReplyDeleteAh. Ooops. I signed in BEFORE reading the post.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could just post the prompt on Friday and post the link thing for the round up on Tuesday? That would avoid so many links without stories.
Good idea Willow posting ipso facto. I think I will inspire the Muse by luxuriating in a warm bath and meditating on this one. Should I go Faberge egg, Cosmic egg or completely scrambled eggs? I love eggs!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time here ~ hope I've followed the rules. If not, for sure I shall the next time. :)
ReplyDeleteYou said the prompt was easy. I found the story of the "NAILS" to be waaaaaaay easier than this. The minute I saw the prompt, my jaded heart heard this line, "And like the egg at her feet, her life lay in a thousand little pieces." Yeah, nothing says happy-happy, joy-joy and Easter than a shattered egg. Guess that is why my blog is called Jaded Heart. :)
ReplyDeleteoops...Suz #12 doesn't link
ReplyDeletebut suz #17 does
please delete #12-suz
That egg is beautiful..is it yours..lucky you
My post is up. Happy Easter everyone.
ReplyDeleteAh, quite appropriate for the season.
ReplyDeleteGlad to take part again. I hope we all didn't have the same idea. :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, Suz, I deleted #12. You're good to go, now.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, all! xx
So many thoughts, so little comprehension.
ReplyDeleteWow - I didn't even think about writing about the egg LOL! I was so taken with the little painting...
ReplyDeleteAh....the egg: Symbol of the season and creation of life! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI'll try and get something up by tomorrow afternoon. If not, it will be on Tuesday morning.
ReplyDeleteKat
I enjoy writing for Magpie. Easter egg is far from my cultural experience, but I'll make something out of it - as willow says it's upto my muse what I make of the prompt ...
ReplyDeleteAs always enjoyed writing a poem for Magpie Tales.
ReplyDeletealright, i am in the game...
ReplyDeleteoff to visit...
What a delightful prompt - really had me wondering for a while there
ReplyDeleteI made it on time for this one!
ReplyDeleteCommenting after linking! Happy magpie day.
ReplyDeleteHope I connected correctly ...... Have a lovely day, dear Willow.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late getting this one done (Tuesday is almost over, for me), but it's up!
ReplyDeleteIt's too late to be part of it all but it was a pretty egg.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved reading the tales inspired.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea. Maybe next year, when I feel more confident to participate, I'd love to.
Right now, all the talent I viewed was much too intimidating.
Extremely talented people out here. WOW.
