Mag 7

Okay, some of you have complained about what a hard
taskmaster I've been with the prompts lately, so I took pity.
Here's an easy one this week, in honor of spring.
Happy writing, my friends.

Very well. This is my comment after linking: I have linked. :-) Best Springtime regards.

  2. Comment. I'll do one but may not have time to visit right away, alas.

  3. hmmm. I rather enjoyed the challenge.
However, a daffodil could be challenging in its own way...lots of room for interpretation I suppose.
I will have to think about it more.
    :D

  4. Willow -- do you prefer we not link till the Magpie post is up? I don't plan to post mine till Tuesday. If you want to remove my name, I'll wait and link then.

  5. Actually, it just occurred to me to ask the same question Vicki asked above...

  6. Done and scheduled for next Tuesday!

  7. Yes I know I'm behind but I promise there will be a catch up so look out for several tales at once !!!!!!

  8. Vicki, it's totally up to you. You can go ahead and sign up now, or wait and sign up with your post URL. Participants have been doing both, and I don't see one way being better than the other.

    What do you think?

  11. Actually, would it be rude to ask that folks don't put their names up until they write a post?I know everyone enjoys participating, but right now there are only four actual Mag7 entries on people's blogs (though 18 people have left links) and there's no way of knowing which folks have actually posted or when.

The last couple of weeks I've checked the first couple of days and then given up. But if I came back here and saw new names... I would be more inclined to visit someone's website.

Not a criticism, more of a vote.

  13. Good Lord - what on eart is that a picture of? Some kind of alien? Its hideous!

  14. I like it hard too. Can't wait to read everyone's contribution.

  15. Well, I've been posting mine early because of my work schedule on Mon/Tue.... I also work one weekend day. So...I get it in early.

Actually, this one wasn't all that easy!

  16. Wonderful spring prompt (that came in the midst of a cold front!) Thanks!

  17. I just sign up with the understanding that I will post late Monday night or Tuesday. I just always assume everyone is targeting that date and don't really check other magpie blogs until then. Everyone's writing other stuff on other days - Tuesday is the magpie day, as I'm doing it anyway.

  18. Thanks for the idea and the gorgeous photo. I found your blog via David's Nothing Hypothetical blog.

  19. I've actually been enjoying the challenge of coming up with something for the more unusual photos. Thanks so much, Willow, for spurring us on to greater creativity!

  20. I'm a new visitor by way of Brian's WaystationOne. I'll give it a try this week.

  21. I agree with nothinghypothetical....it would be helpful if you link when you are actually posting your story...it gets very frustrating checking on links that haven't posted ...I too get weary clicking....and really it's not fair..because I'm ceratain I have mised some fine writing....just an opinion...and then it wouldn't matter when you post..because if I see your link..then I'll know you've written....okay..shut up, I know
I've written (sort of) and have linked

  22. Posted an old one since I'm on the road and haven't been able to participate lately.

I'll be back, though! I like it here!

  23. This one was pretty difficult. Quite the challenge indeed. Well I have it up, not what I expected, but not all that bad I think.

  24. I'm beginning to think nothinghypothetical and Suz have a good point. I'll make a note of the new instructions when the next new prompt is posted.

  25. Taking a deep breath and linking here for all the world to see. BTW - I agree with the suggestion that people wait to link until they're ready to post.

  26. willow, if you could just erase mine from teh list this week, taking a break for a few days. will jump back in next week...

  27. well thought I signed in again and did not; running out of time...looks like with ever so many it is going to take lots of time that I don't have right now to read all these...oh well, we do what we can...And I'm loving the Yellow Trumpets! Much more to my liking!

  28. Interestingly enough....I took a photo of a daffodil while on an outing with the Macs (boys). It spoke to my hope of personal growth. I put that photo up on my post as well. I really liked this challenge. Nails are fun and all, but nothing like a flower to make the soul soar.

  29. I'll chime in on the posting question. For the sake of everyone's time, I don't link until I post the Magpie Tale, which is what we're all really interested in here, right? Mondays I like to ride the Poetry Bus, so I link up Monday night or Tuesday morning.

  30. Mine is up. First shot writing here. Told about the site awhile ago from JeffScape. Been watching and decided to give it a shot. Thanks, Willow.

  31. Had a few problems with Blogger, but mine is done now!

  32. ugh a late again! sorry! this week was a toughie for me. I love flowers but my mind just wouldn't get away from certain story lines. oh well...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Links not showing up this morning for me. I will visit others when they do. Blogger is misbehaving, I assume.

    ReplyDelete
  34. oops the link has stopped working...

  35. Confused, but present. First time comer here. A comment I do leave, and then to my own dear blog I make a post ...though it be Wednesday and the Tuesday already memory.

  36. As far as links go, should we link the post or the blog? If we link the post I think it would be easier because then bloggers could still visit it easily, without going to the blog and having to scroll down any number of posts (depending how far after the post date the blogger is reading it) to get to the one they are looking for. But I agree definitely about not linking until the post is posted. :)

  37. Just finished reading all of them...whew! There seem to be more every week!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I like scrolling through everyone's blogs. I've already added a few to my favourite feeds. I'll post a link to my magpie post to make everyone happy, but just so you know - I'm enjoying exploring and discovering your blogs, not just your magpie tales!
