Happy writing, friends! Thanks to those who turned off word verification...it makes commenting so very pleasurable...
Hi Tessgood to be back with this picture prompt but your linky still does not like me.Here is my offeringhttp://planetcyberluz.com/2014/01/06/new-york-at-night-in-black-and-white/
No worries...added you, Tigerbrite...
Nice visual prompt but I am not linking in even through I wrote a poem. I have not ever had word verification but obviously a bunch of your followers do not like approval of comments. I do not like playing in unfriendly pools.
You are wrong but it's your choice. Don't forget this is for fun and we all have very busy lives besides this! Tess tries to visit everyone's writes and even though I have had a few times with no visitors it can take some time to get noticed in this talented group. Think again.
Ditto, Bekki. As a serious blog-hopper and veteran online community member, I don't think members are unfriendly. And I don't know a writer who doesn't like comments but word verification or other hoops simply to comment isn't very welcoming if not literally prohibitive. Let's not forgot that many readers these days are actually reading from other devices which make it difficult to comment. I just got a cell phone and while I can read many sites, I can't comment. The add comment button doesn't work so while I am reading and enjoying a work, there are times when commenting isn't an option. Lastly since we as writers are no longer posting works to a single community where we can read and comment at a hub location, the act of blog hopping itself is time-consuming. I believe most members do they best they can to support one another.
Sorry you feel this way, Jacqui. I find this to be a very friendly pool. Come on in...the water's fine!
Thanks for inspiration, Tess :)
here again at last...x
Finally one that isn't about history, old times or photographs! Yesssssssss! Thanks Tess!
when it comes to the apexes of iconic memory, cobblestones have always occupied a special niche; many thanks for picking an image that dredged up delicious delirium & fascination.
Enjoyed this image. I love NYC. Kind of picture her like Grizabella in "Cats." No matter how old she grows, she has a unique and street savvy beauty all her own. Thanks for the great image!
Wonderful picture... have not tried out this before.. Glenn inspired me to come here..
Sometimes a painted canvas is pleading to have more paint added to it.
what else is there to do on an 11 degree day... Thanks Tess
Do I prefer those cobbled sidewalks to the snowy scene outdoors today?
It's been a long time since I last posted to Magpie. I'm glad to be here. :)
I can't seem to make my link work. Tried several times but when I click Enter nothing happens. Boo hoo
Never mind. Seemed to be a glitch with IE...

Welcome to Magpie, Sumana!
Always such a joy to participate.
Tess, this is such a lovely, romance laced photo to begin this week straight to our hearts. She is a talented photographer, that offers a look inside us all, if we dare to look inside her work.
I've walked that very street! Also in the rain....thanks, so charming...

Don't know why I went to London over New York... I must just be in a dark frame of mind. ;) Thanks Tess. Happy New Year!
My good friend and I have been just discussing this subject, she actually is normally endeavouring to prove me incorrect! I will present her this particular blog post and rub it in a little!jeux de guerre
