Happy writing dear friends...
One ring circus?
Or a dance recital?
I was lost this week. Sorry!
Such a fun image.
a little bit of memoir from me...i was a clown once....
hard one today so i went with chagall's words as i've never been a fan of his paintings
It's a wonderful day for clowning around. I have one with me, right JJ?
This is just a tremendously beautiful drawing, Tess. I don't always find Chagall as emotional as this one. It's just lovely. I'm beyond the bend in terms of obligation today and tomorrow but hopefully something will arrive through a nook or cranny. (I feel like a crumpet waiting for butter.) k.
Thank you Tess for the great inspiration of Chagall, once again. =D
So many ways to go with this one - great choice.
I very much like your prompt today. Thanks so much.
so glad there was no water in this weeks prompt!!!! love Chagall...xx
Who doesn't love a circus? :)
I'm soooooo sorry. I made a bunch of mistakes trying to link up. I think I finally did, but only after linking a different post. I'll do better next time.
Short, sweet and yellow Haiku...and on time should mean..more visits? :)
You see a happy circus clown, I see the tragic intersection of weird science, Martians and Southern California.
Struggled a bit this week. I'm not a clown fan but I've come up with a few lines anyhow.
esther....i can not get your link to work...so if you stop in, you may want to try again...
Bringing in the clown theme.....they really don't scare me! Not nearly as many bright colors he usually uses, but those he does, really stand out! Enticing picture prompt!
Geez, I spent ages writing a fairly crappy poem for this. But at least it's pretty funny. :)
So this was fun!! I went in the direction of a version of my own circus!! Thank you!http://wordrustling.wordpress.com/2012/05/20/weekly-hoopla/
Could not pass up Marc Chagall. Thank you.
Interesting prompt indeed!Anna :o]
Definitely a challenge..but fun as always...thanks!!
Late but hanging tough- thanks for the prompt!
This was a challenging image-thanks Tess!
A late submission but really enjoyed the prompt thank you x
Coming in a bit late, but at least I made it! The the image inspired quite an array of ideas. Thanks!
I, too, returning from the ocean, had to write and enter mine a bit late, but gosh, one of the great things about The Mag, is it stays open all week, and like an all night diner, we can enjoy the delicacies for days. My poetics deal with coulrophobia, and it drops down dark, so read at your own risk.
Woe it's Monday and I managed to get it up before Friday! Things just might be working in my favour! Nice one Tess,
I always like clowning around... :)
Queen Victoria has waylaid my participation, but I have endeavoured to pull something together.
Could have sworn I posted earlier- but shazaam I am missing-so here it is!
Not a huge fan of his... but I am of my daughter! I took the liberty to combine two drawings into one. Thanks for the prompt and always challenging me. I will be by to read the poems tomorrow. I am off to watch "Sherlock" - the new BBC series. Have you watched them? A modern day version of the old classic - with cell phones and everything.
Clowns are such a rich vein to mine - as is Chagall. Thanks for this prompt.
Hi Tess,It was indeed this prompt which reminded me of a tale almost forgotten. It is a very long post and doesn't really fit into the format of the Magpies, but I thought I'd use it anyway and give you credit for reminding me.
A second link by my name got posted by mistake which links to a previous post, not the one with respect to this prompt... and i can't delete it!!! It would be gr8 if the admin could take it off the list!
Hi Tess--sorry to be so late. A very busy busy busy week. And maybe mine is not so good. Agh. One loses the ability to judge. K.
"The Mag" has been included in the Sites To See for this week. I hope this helps to attract many new visitors to here.http://asthecrackerheadcrumbles.blogspot.com/2012/05/sites-to-see_25.html
