  3. Hi Tess--what a beautiful painting. I hated to do my own version in a way, and actually played with stupid things in it for a long time, still not getting it right, but have a super super busy day so have to kind of do now or who knows when?

Great choices. I look forward to seeing what people have done. K.

  4. There were so many mini-compositions within this one painting, I was spoilt for choice, for each section told a different story...

  13. You had me there, stuck in the lunchroom with the automatons, and in my eagerness to escape the mundane misery, my own poem sprouted fungal, fecund, and ready for reception.

  16. How many phobias can you pack into one writing prompt?

  17. I used Tooker's work as the basis for creative writing assignments over the years. My high school students loved his paintings. I had never seen this one, but I surely recognized his style. Great prompt.

  18. This painting made me think of the economic challenges this country has faced during my lifetime and brought back memories of my childhood. I look forward to reading what others conjured from it.

  20. Hey Tess, I finally made it back 'home'! Your 'inspirational' picture made me to first remember my first-grade lunchroom.

Your own 'take' on it covered lots of bases. Mine is a bit macabre, but, well, what the hell--grin!

    Love it, girl!
    PEACE!

  21. Thank you Tess for this fun experience.
I was referred to you on FB through a mutual friend. While stopping in to visit you there, discovered your lovely invitation to visit your blog where this inspiring photo appeared. So stopped to visit, this so looked like fun. There I remained, musing awhile, to see what might come. Thought then, why not, I'll give it a go.
I don't know if I've done this correctly, so please forgive my plodding through.
Cheers to you Tess. Great week to all.
