Oh my goodness - they get earlier and earlier!!! This should be a fun one!
Several peeps wrote me this afternoon, chomping at the bit...so here it is...nice and early!
Lovely prompt, Tess. Sigh...
Good to be back!
Wow, this is early!
Wonderful to have had it early. So much to do, so little time. Beautiful prompt, though. Gotta love Edward Hopper.— KKay, Alberta, CanadaAn Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel
Whew- I am behind! thought I did the most recent- only to find Edward Hopper waiting ! Thanks.
Hi Everyone, Jenne recommended your meme to me. I am looking forward to reading your work! :D
Hopper always takes me back to my roots. I could almost smell the hamburgers grilling when I saw this one. Our post is now up and posted.
i am in...hehe
Oops - Posted wrong poem. Sorry. I love Hopper. I saw his pictures three times at the NGA when they came there.
My post is up! :)
There you go! ;)
a long time since I put one in but this painting and the summer of'69 has inspired me. Thanks for the prompt...I saw his work when I came with college to New York...love it.
Thanks Tess, I love that painting.
Hi. Haven't posted in a while but that prompt rang a bell. I am enjoying reading all the posts.
Hopper paintings take me back to my previous life!
cool one, well done.
I love this prompt! Stayed up way too late last night writing it :)
Hm, for some reason my comment isn't linking to the correct page. Let's try this again!
OK, one last try. Sorry Tess! Feel free to delete my other comments that don't link to my site.
Thank God for Edward Hopper!!
If you have time, please check out my new wordpress blog and tell me what you think (you can link to it from my present blog).
Love this picture! Thanks for giving me the chance to make peace with destiny!
Thanks! I ♥ Edward Hopper!
Oh I love this paintingwonderful magpie
Thanks, again, for hosting this. =)
Great prompt! This could go in so many directions.
This is going to be fun, amzing prompt Tess!
I found it less that fun but very cleansing. Poetry can empty the dark spots in one's soul.
Another good one. Don't know how you do it.
Thanks Tess - just posted - couldn't resist!
Such an evocative painting!
this ought to be fun! can't wait to read all the others.
Great little ride with that tale. You had me with the picture. I have the perfect post for it.
I was eager, but my muse was being stubborn. This is a scene from my Midwestern youth -- dusty midnight moths, noisy junebugs, and sad words of good-bye... :(
I went with what my muse saw in the picture...seems it was a broken heart.
Hopper was new to me. Thanks, Tess for the intro to this artist's work.
I have a warped mind...
Tess, this was a particularly good one. I hemmed and hawed, but what came to mind was too good for me not to post. It's up!
Happy Wednesday Maggies! Great prompt Tess. It really helped me to express how I have been feeling lately.
What a great prompt, Tess. This Magpie seemed to practically write itself for me.....
Some of you know Sherry Blue Sky. #82 is written for her.
Thanks for this picture. Got my post on now...JJRod'z
Mine is up at last. The idea came to me in the shower this morning!
So happy I came across this blog! Love it! So many great poets here! :)
Squeaking in at the end again...sigh...but just learned something a few days ago and...click! Hope it is worthy. Thank you, Tess!
I am a bit behind...but I will post my #77 tomorrow...wonderful interpretations as always!
Love Edward Hooper Stuff~!
late, but will do some visits.
I am totally blown away by the talent out there! Tess, thank you so much again for starting Magpie Tales. What a gift to all us writers and creative types. I know you have unearthed my love of quirky poetry...my poetry is very unconventional, but you inspire me so much with your selection of photographs! Thank you, thank you, thank you and to all who write for Magpie Tales...KEEP WRITING, you are all so very talented!
