I think I must be the first to see this! I'm going to bed now at almost midnight in my part of the world with Van Gogh on my mind. Maybe inspiration will come to me in a dream! In the meantime a very Happy Fourth of July to my American friends (just think you could all have been British!!) and Happy Canada Day to anyone here from that part of the world.
Happy and SAFE holidays to all - it is Monday morning here. Nice to have my chores done early!
I love this pic!!!! Thank you Tess!
Not exactly a 'tale' but an interesting observation. It's definitely celebration time in the Americas! In Oz it's a plain old Monday!
Such a fine mess of color. Makes me feel good.
This is a re-post from last October. The sunshine and a rural landscape brings out the boy in me.
Here's my first post for Magpie Tales! Its about my dream of going back to my native land..The beautiful place where I grew up! Hope you guys enjoy this read!Nice to be here :)
Hi Tess, just posted link thanks!
Oh, what a beautiful prompt, Tess. : )
Mine's short, but I think it'll do at holiday rates. ;-)
ah, this is divine!~Kelvin
A picture to delight the soul. No urge to play with it at all!! LOL
Memories of childhood days for me.
nice choice of image. have a good holiday :)
Just to look at a Van Gogh...thank you...and Happy 4th...
Have linked a poem written earlier as it seemed so apt. this poem is special as I've attempted the ghazal (Indian poetry) form, with a meter and one line repeated every stanza. Also, the writer's name appears in the last verse.
I've sunflowers proudly framed in my hallway! Good old Vincent - he knew how to paint (and drink!). Happy 4th!
It's weird what a picture can bring out in an over-tired mind! *smile* Happy Fourth of July to those of you on the other side of the pond! Thank you!
Such a fan of Vincent. This was a treat for me!
The colours are amazing. Were there any left on his palette by the time he finished this? ;-)
We've just posted ours. Nothing gets us in the mood for the holiday weekend like a bit of wheat, madness, art and family.
What an amazing picture. I love Van Gogh. How to capture his work in words?
art, music, dance, poetry....sister muses that inspire the world to hope, to dream, to love. Love the picture. enjoyed writing this week's installation :-) Cheers, lisa
Happy Birthday, America!
Made a point to NOT read any other posts before writing. Then I saw that what I wrote was another variation on a theme. So, a slightly different tack...Rick
Great image to use !!!
July. Wheat harvest soon to begin. And then the planting of next year's crop of winter wheat.

Beautiful painting--but the synchronicity is scary! I hope you will accept an indirect take on the prompt...
This one wasn't my best but the picture was hard to beat! Lol! I have been busy and haven't gotten to partake lately but I'm glad to be back and hope to participate as much as I can. I enjoy this, it keeps my writing sharp and lets me meet interesting people like all of you! Have a great week! ♥
