I've had swords on my mind lately.
Thanks for the nudge Tess. A tail/tale for you.Oh and the magic of censorship! (not you)
Time for a little blade swinging.
a cutting edge photo! Well done- now lets see what we all come up with!
I went all Romeo and Juliet on this one, Tess, big congrats for you and your book, well deserved, I will put in my order.
Gosh, you guys are fast!Brigid, thanks for your kind support, my friend. x
Johnny Depp ... on my mind!
This was a fabulous prompt pic! Love the unexpected.
Love this prompt. : )
This one was really, really fun.
Events, this week, are colouring my thoughts.
Great prompt, thanks!
more legends and fairy tales
had a weekend involving swords myself...
There'll be some swashbuckling responses to this one, nae doot!
Nae doot at awe! It was more kind of battle-axes for me. Struggled a bit but I got there eventually!
Another attempt from me.
Mine's a little dark for me today. But, I like it. Sometimes kids just feel like that and imagine what it would be like to be the victor instead of the vanquished in the schoolyard hierarchy.
"Touche"....this one should be fun....wonderful prompt Tess! :-)
Love where this can go!
I'm exploring my country's history. This prompt is a coincidence. Thanks for this, Tess.
I managed to write a suitable poem - a triolet for this picture. Do look forward to everyones visits and fedback. I shall also check out some of your posts.
Hi Tess, love the blog. will be back to write more.

Oh boy, I had fun playing with this one! http://lolamousedroppings.blogspot.com/2011/03/jabberwocky-ii-this-will-slay-you.html
I'm here. I've missed doing this.
Wow yesterday when I looked at the prompt, which I love BTW, there were only about eight other Mags up. Today I am number 67! That is amazing the number of Magpies and such quick response. I have a lot of reading to do. I better get busy.
My one war poem.
Glad to be here!
Brilliant image - en garde!and congratulations on your poetry book! Well done!
Tess,I think everyone should view a copy of Prince Valiant starring Robert Wagner! Ah, the thrust and overhead lop of the broadsword!Nothing so good as the sound of metal on bone!Truly("The Swordsman")fool
I enjoyed this one:-)
I was trying to write something about 'manhood showoffs' lately. And this was a coincidence! I request all of you to please read my post and type in ur frank opinion on that piece.. Thanks :)
Very interesting prompt.
Oh, this one spoke to me...
This one did not speak to me. I found myself angry with it and ergo my poem.
I was inspired enough to have a second go!
I ended up doing something silly with this.
Tess,I tried emailing this, but my email doesn't like the address (firstname.lastname@example.org). My return address: email@example.com.Question about your Mister Linky's Magical links - how do you get your sign in box to stay visible? Did you get the most basic link, or did you get an upgrade - e.g., mine appears differently - and is less visible than yours - as at this link.http://readingbypublight.blogspot.com/2011/03/3-word-week-3.htmlI've already scoured the Mister Linky's site, and maybe I'm blind or too tired to see why this is the case, but I believe it's hurting certain endeavors on my site - and I need to fix it.Your help is appreciated, if it's forthcoming. If you're super-busy, I understand, and I'll read/write you soon, my friend.
at first i didnt have anything. and then i came up with something =))and i love knives and swords, so this picture was especially lovely to me =)
Tess, I have done another link to continue the original magpie post under Louise2, thanks.
I think I knew what I had to write as soon as I saw this image... I have no idea how the write turned out though :)Thanks for yet another wonderfully inspiring image, Tess...(hugs)
mine went wandering an a whole 'nother interpretation..and the swords just didn't factor. lol
This prompt really rang my bell. Thank you Tess.(The verification word is "BRIDE." Could it be my wedding-bell?)
it took me awhile to get a perspective on this prompt. love that shield.
'Failed Charms' is up.
My post is up! :)
my poem is posted
Oops!...forgot to comment. My post was offered in appreciation for Tess and her wonderful Scottish heritage.
Tried something a little different this time.
Is a re-write allowed I wonder? I've chanced it, anyway! lol :)
