  4. Gosh, don't know why but I was so not inspired or could not find a thing to write on the last 2 Magpie's, which is sad really because I was in it for 12 consecutive weeks. I hope to be back on it with this one! Cheers...

  5. You just never know what an image will do to your poet's brain.
    Thanks for this one.

  6. Thank you for posting early, Willow. I can go to bed at a civilised time tonight.

  7. Short and sweet from me this week. I am taking part in Nanowrimo at the moment and think I must subconsciously be conserving my words! :-)

Thanks as always for posting the Magpies.

  8. Nice image, Willow, mine is a little sad and maybe a bit long this week, written while my kids doing their homework.

  9. I'm confused....clear your URL...what does that mean?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Annell, for some reason, Mr. Linky likes to save your URL from the previous week. Just delete it, before you add your new one, or your readers will be directed to last week's post.

  11. Thank-you Willow. I love the photo and can't wait to see what others have come up with.

    : )

  12. I'm like Annell, a bit confused but now will check it through to see if I need to do anyting about my link. Thanks.

  13. All I'm saying is just make sure you paste your current post's URL into the Linky widget each week. Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse! :^)

  16. Okay here is this weeks post and it came so easy this week. I have so much floating around in my brain. Back to NaNo...

  17. Willow, I haven't posted yet but I've removed my 'Six Days' post about five times from the Mr Linky thing, and it's still there. I couldn't get rid of it last week either. When I click on the space there's a little drop down list of my stuff too, and I can't get rid of that either.

    Hugs, Sue :)

  19. This was a hard one, because I kept thinking of that movie about the kid and karate and Jackie Chan and Jet Li. :/

But I gave it my best shot, and even tried for a bit of humor.

    ReplyDelete

  32. Giving it a short go this week, so I can try to read and comment on them all......! Fabulous creativity here!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Been under the weather this week but I've given it a shot.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Had a bit of a challenge with this one, but finally... another short section of Jack's Gremlins. Hope everyone enjoys it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes, a challenging prompt this week. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hope I'm not flying in the face of Mag-protocol, but I had a bit of a topsy-turvy week, so am posting last week's Magpie tale now...This weeks will follow shortly...

    ReplyDelete
  41. why do we need to renter our URL each week?? Or was it just this week???

    ReplyDelete
  42. hello hello..itz great to be back at magpie! disturbing deuce

    ReplyDelete
  43. I put my 'Intro' up earlier in the week, as I am always hard-pressed to meet the time limits and by then most people have done with reading.

Thank you for the prompt. It has been very productive.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Another wonderful prompt Willow...took me a while to post, but i finally made it...hope everyone has an awesome Monday! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I might post again after a long absence; it is fun to see what the image evokes in different folks!

    ReplyDelete
  46. this one was very challenging, but fun. And, once again a chance for me to learn...

    ReplyDelete
  47. I really loved this prompt although I wondered what prompted you to select this prompt.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeesh! Consistently over 100 entries... full-time job going through these. ;)

Twice a week? Might have to go to bi-weekly to keep up!

    ReplyDelete
  49. The Magpie challenge almost always
gets over 100 responses, in just one
week; gosh--you seem to have a
dedicated flock of poets who feel
honored to be painted black, and
put on a list for a kind of imaginary
    Chapbook, that is dynamic and
    everchanging. I only write for
    one other poetry challenge site,
and it rarely gets 24 responses.
    Just your format and personality
    one would assume, Miss Willow.
    Magpies are really intelligent
birds, you see, can learn more
words than minis or parrots even,
    do tricks, write poetry.

  50. Whoa...I surprised myself with this one. When I saw that picture, something happened and the poem poured out of me...thanks for this interesting exercise. Really enjoyed reading all the different poems and stories.

  51. It's a beautiful piece, Willow, and I enjoyed writing about it!
