  5. This is just a tremendously beautiful drawing, Tess. I don't always find Chagall as emotional as this one. It's just lovely. I'm beyond the bend in terms of obligation today and tomorrow but hopefully something will arrive through a nook or cranny. (I feel like a crumpet waiting for butter.) k.

  13. You see a happy circus clown, I see the tragic intersection of weird science, Martians and Southern California.

  14. Struggled a bit this week. I'm not a clown fan but I've come up with a few lines anyhow.

  16. Bringing in the clown theme.....they really don't scare me! Not nearly as many bright colors he usually uses, but those he does, really stand out! Enticing picture prompt!

  17. Geez, I spent ages writing a fairly crappy poem for this. But at least it's pretty funny. :)

  26. I, too, returning from the ocean, had to write and enter mine a bit late, but gosh, one of the great things about The Mag, is it stays open all week, and like an all night diner, we can enjoy the delicacies for days. My poetics deal with coulrophobia, and it drops down dark, so read at your own risk.

  31. Not a huge fan of his... but I am of my daughter! I took the liberty to combine two drawings into one. Thanks for the prompt and always challenging me. I will be by to read the poems tomorrow. I am off to watch "Sherlock" - the new BBC series. Have you watched them? A modern day version of the old classic - with cell phones and everything.

  33. Hi Tess,

It was indeed this prompt which reminded me of a tale almost forgotten. It is a very long post and doesn't really fit into the format of the Magpies, but I thought I'd use it anyway and give you credit for reminding me.

  34. A second link by my name got posted by mistake which links to a previous post, not the one with respect to this prompt... and i can't delete it!!! It would be gr8 if the admin could take it off the list!
