    1. There's some continuing issue between Typepad and this format of Blogger comments that will almost certainly prevent this comment from upstreaming. Here goes...

  26. I contemplated the prompt early on Sunday. Seemed to depressing to pen a poem about on what began as a a great day.

Later in the evening, however, I was henpecked by a mere acquaintance on FB and I had my topic.

    Thank you for the prompt

  38. Tess,

Something 'entre-guerre', retro-surreal, futurist, floating from the image and the politics.

  42. the slats on the window carve out the structure of the scene
past the glass a wax paper-like film muzzles what light shines thru
diagonal streaks of 2 inch lines
crowded in a tightly bound brigade
    suddenly change directions
    to a straight down deluge
    of tears or drink
depending if you're grass or sad observer

the chinese people call rain money
    suddenly i'm rich

  43. a fence across the damp neighbors yard
blocks my view of an expanded universe
who do they think they are?
chopping off our charging curiosity of what
    lies beyond

    maybe the shaking pong
    of the imminent spray
    and a new robust graffiti
will slash a billboard for more
    pleasant
    sightings
