I think it would be easier to look at this image if the person weren't so obviously old. Now it is almost unbearably sad. I made the mistake of reading someone else's submission before writing mine, which I usually try not to do. However, I'll think of something soon, I'm sure. It's nice to be home with my big computer and able to participate again.

Hi again Tess. I liked your poem very much, but ended up, myself, opting for silliness. My poem is not so great, but I have to say --and I don't mean to blow my own horn--but I have to say that my own visual take on your prompt turned out quite well. (I mean my composite drawing.) It's very silly, but well--that seems to be my strong point on the visual level anyway. K.
Hi Tess... Hope this message finds you well. This is my first Magpie in months & I can tell you this... I really enjoyed the opportunity to be creative cause it's been such a long time. Thanks again for the opportunity. Have a wonderful day...cheers Kath x
Thanks for another interesting image. I wrote a simple poem this time with no great point. Tess, have you considered including a link to the original source of each image?
I looked at the prompt yesterday, thought no way, felt suffocated. I woke during the night and almost had to get up when thoughts of the image made me claustrophobic again. Then a phrase came to mind during breakfast - and I was in! Thanks, Tess.
Great great image, Tess. (Only I probably can't find anything old to adapt.) Ha! K.
ReplyDeleteHappy writing my friends...
ReplyDeleteK, I know you have something new rolling around in your head...
ReplyDeleteThanks Miss Tess for the prompt. Beautiful image.

ReplyDeleteThis image spoke to me of our final journey - but then again, I am deeply in touch with my mortality these recent months...

ReplyDeleteThanks for getting me writing again. It has been quite a dry spell.
ReplyDeleteI found this image quite disturbing - the hopelessness of it.
ReplyDeleteA very powerful image which brought on some unusual melancholy. But poets are meant to be melancholy, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteIt's been a very grey and dismal day, which might explain this one.
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing, as usual..thank you...
ReplyDeleteSo many ways to interpret this picture. Great prompt!
ReplyDeleteInteresting picture, thank you.
