Hi Tess--this raises many ideas--in my case of bad experiences at weddings! However, I am in such a deep pit of work and overdue work and more overdue work and other responsibilities right now (I'm sure we all are) but this seems especially acute for me this week, I've posted an older poem that fits, but not as much as I'd like. It's an okay poem though, and thanks much for the opportunity. (PS - I liked yours very much--musical chairs is a potent image.) K.
I saw this prompt on the train ride home from work tonight. It touched the magical mystical parts of my imagination. I really enjoyed writing the story. Thank you for a beautiful prompt. :)
Thanks Tess. I never read any of the Magpies or other challenge poems before I write, but I see that I coincidently chose "musical chairs' as mentioned in one of the comments above. Oh, well...love the picture.
I'd thought I'd take a humourous approach this week! I did get rather sodded-off by the glitch in my post-must be the hasty-pudding club! Oh well...there's always next week! Chiccoreal
On the Penn State situation...
