Ah the jungle. I did not see the Snake Charmer. Only the jungle, and no jungle has been crueler to men than the jungles in Vietnam. So, where there is beauty ... so there is something deadly.
With my wonderful daughter-in-law graduating from college, my in-laws visiting, and my wife Kathy returning from her trip to Ohio to see her parents -- I am way late with this offering this week... :-|
Struggled with this, but am quite proud to have used the words Gilgamesh, harlot and suffragette in the same poem! *big grin* Thank you for a beautiful prompt!
I think I did this kind of backwards. Started the blog then found the image. But then of course the image informed what I wrote next, sooooo. Lovely shot and fun idea....
I did not write on this one because I've been obsessed on the picture wondering why it looked so familiar and I just figured it out - I gave a gorgeous old edition of the book Green Mansions to a friend for his birthday just 3 weeks ago - and this is the cover.
