When I woke up this morning at 5 a.m local time, 11 p.m EST, I wrote a single line. Returning home to find this beautiful image, I sat down with my notebook - and this one line: "I once wrote the words to a song." I thought to myself: that might work.
Sorry to see Jeff go, he will be missed for sure. Beautiful prompt, Tess. Don't you just love vintage sheet music with its lovely artwork? My daughter collects music and musical instruments (she is a very gifted musician who was blessed...or cursed as the case may be...with a perfect ear.
Thanks for this photo Tess, I hope you don't mind me playing around with it. I have used an idea from an old post; as soon as I saw your photo it 'coloured' my post for today.
This is a really beautiful prompt... the moment I saw it, the words for my poem just flowed into my head, and through my fingers, onto my blog... Loved this one a lot!!!
Hi! Looking at your photo this morning reminded me of high school, dancing in the gym before classes began. It's where I fell in love with the father of my four children. Wonderful memories.
It is always a mystery to me when these poems come bursting out of me from one of your photographs...I hesitated with this one...not how I usually write... Tess, you are one interesting Muse...
Awesome photo! I started to write something which turned into something completely unexpected. I didn't use what I started to write. Thank you for the inspiration!
