I did mine first everyone, woohooo!!!! I can't wait to see some of you guys' stuff. Well, I'm off now, so I hope you like what I have left you, a slice of elemental creativity.
I love the lamp...perhaps because it is a reminder of the founder of nursing Florence Nightingale.."The Lady with the Lamp." Anyhow, I have added my name this week because my story is from a few years back.. God Bless. CML
Well, my dear ... it was difficult mustering up the energy to write this morning, thanks to you and all that dance and drink! Oh, how I enjoyed myself ... Stafford and Helen back home in their respective countries ... lovely memories!
PS, he told me dancing with you was a highlight of his evening! and to thank you for the offer of your wool socks.
Look forward to reading everyone. Won't be able to do it until the weekend. But last week, as usual, was AMAZING! Thanks Willow, you are a bright spot in my life. Gros Bisous, Love and Light, Sender
all comments are much appreciated and give me encouragement and inspiration to keep writing!
i actually found this quite a challenge but hope you will enjoy. especially those that have been reading my others in this serial. (my magpie 29, 31 and 32) (:
This photo really took me on a memory trip to the past - oil lamps, cold, old stone house in England, a safari park and an Ethiopian elephant. It was 1985 and my daughter was seven...
Hi Willow! I apparently linked to the wrong post yesterday. I have it corrected now, but could you remove my link (#40) that leads to an earlier Magpie post? Thanks so much and have a wonderful weekend!
I got mine up but I will tell you. I am hanging by a thread today. One too many of Gaga's Manhattans. Clive sends his love. Sorry I missed the brunch I just couldn't pull myself out of bed in time.
Another week of absolute literary gold. I am so humbled by all of you you have no idea. Each and every one of you have helped me this week to get out of a very deep depression. Thank you all for your inspiration.
The image brought out something very interesting in me. Thanks for posting these lovely pictures. FYI-I have given my writer's group this link to see if they can come up with 600 words or less to discuss at our next meeting. Thanks Willow.
Peep named Shigune Matsui wrote that "I'm first"! Well...I'M LAST! I hope Peeps can find mine, because I certainly could not find his Magpie. If he reads this, maybe he'll enlighten me. PLEASE!
And late, late LATE--that's me, all week, late to everything except a wedding gig (violinist), thank God!
This was fun, AND challenging!! Really enjoyed writing writing for this prompt, Willow...thank you!!! Now, reading the other posts here will be even more fun! Woohoooo
I didn't think I was going to have time to do something this week - especially when my first idea turned out to be rather a lengthy gothic horror sort of an idea, that I'm still twiddling with, and may take a little time to complete.
Not wanting to miss out on getting a submission in place before the deadline, I squeezed out a double quick piece of flash. Phew! In the nick of time...
I kinda cheated and posted a combined effort. My first attempt at Haiku, too. Not sure how I've done. I've been time limited this week. Grrrrrrrr..........!

ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful depth in this image! Quite soulful!
ReplyDeleteI struggled with this image, but I'm off now to get ready for Willow's Ball! Ta Dah!

I'm all lit up at last, here - http://pens-poems.blogspot.com/2010/10/magpie-tales-34.html
ReplyDeleteI wrote two versions of the same poem. Intriguing how leaving one to fester in me birthed something similar yet entirely different.
ReplyDeleteI'm frightened #1

I'm frightened #2
