Speaking of summer heat...
Love this prompt ... made me think of passionate love and the flames it can generate ~ or not.
Helen I like the way you think. :-)
Helen, man, you're fast! I haven't even put my camera away yet!
let's all write for summer romances!
Great photo Willow...brought up some not-so-pleasant memories for me. It made me so thankful that I'm in a different place in my life now!- Dina
I am presuming its a fire extinguisher, mine possibly a strange twist on this image.
I'm up early this week, since I squeezed in at the last minute with last week's prompt!
My first attempt at anything like this!
I thought I'd try a fantasy.
Hi Willow,I guess mine is a simple, straight forward approach to the prompt.
Done...I had to dig deep for something this weekbut loved the others that I have read so far
Now what did I do wrong..link broken...can doctor willow fix it
I followed bkm's link here. It's synchronicity, because I had planned a poem about fire even before I saw the link.
Okay, Suz, Dr. Willow fixed your linky. :)
Lots of ideas - am writing a long one for my "Village of the Damned" blog!
This is my first time participating. In Case of Fireby Gally Lines.:Lest I Smite Thee:. bloghttp://lestismitethee.wordpress.com/2010/07/16/writing-in-case-of-fire/
nice prompt. Here is my tribute to summer sunset. http://everythingincoherrent.wordpress.com/2010/07/16/calling-it-a-day/
I finally managed to give this a thought. Tomorrow...
Nice photo, not very easy though (but then it shouldn´t be...)
this was sooooooooooo fun-had to add an addendum to my original post! Thanks Willow!
Okay, so mine's about a bird. But hey, this is "Magpie" tales, after all, and it is likely that a magpie could eat a phoenix for lunch. ha!
Willow, I need help...I STILL do not know if I did this correctly, and if it's the type stuff we do here. And if my "timeing" is right, or should I wait until Tuesday? And is it OK to make it also a "55" thingy?Sorry, sometimes, rules make very little sense to me...I still run holding scissors by the handles. (But I don't run very far--get winded--grin!BUT IT IS FUN NONETHELESS!!!! Thanks!
Oh CRAP! I hit ENTER 2 X...Can you fix it???
Thanks for the opportunity to participate!! First time I have done anything like this as well! Love it :) Thanks.
Maestro Steveroni, you are in fine form! I don't see any duplications.
I've enjoyed this week's one! So much I've stupidly posted it in both of my blogs. Apologies, Willow! Gee, all it takes is a couple of weeks off and I'm losing it. I'll be back in the swing in no time!
Thank you for a wonderful prompt! First time on the site, was told about this place from a person by the name of Jingle. Look forward to reading everyone's work.-Weasel
Hotter than . . .O.K. I've posted
Willow, you certainly don't make it easy. A challenge a week, I think I can take it.
Willow Magpie and All Magpies: Can't wait to read these and see just where, exactly, they are going to go! Always fun to read the magpies! This is so popular a site I have to think it may take awhile to read and comment; but I LOVE IT!!!
i love that you've created this community... i've had it on my heart to host a literary blog, much like the inklings... i've created 'imperfect prose on thursdays' but will participate in this as i might. thank you!
Always happy when I've completed a prompt..thank you!!
Missed you all! Have a happy Sunday.
Here's hoping everybody is having a wonderful Sunday! Writing Magpies, of course. :)
I'm in - I worked so hard to avoid the obvious conflagrations that I'm not sure mine is even pertinent :)
Ooops- I came across the picture on Steveroni's page- any way, I got a 55 out of it- a bit late-but it was fun thanks! ( I have to make sure I get my url right- I keep seeing 2 different ones!then I can do the linky thing)
I'm still trying to catch up with everyone's efforts for the past month! The story for this one crept up on my when I had to go for a gentleman's visit at 4am. (Way too much information! (-:)
i'll be stopping by to visit everyone! hope to see you all soon!
so busy this weekend...but finally had time this afternoon to tap this one out. Hope you like it...my 21 year old son was watching The God-Father II, while I wrote this one...thus the inspiration came from more than one source.
Hi Willow, Mine's gone in twice. The first time it went back to the pencils again, but I think one of them goes to Fire. Could you please delete the one that's incorrect? Many thanks.Hugs, Sue :)
I used to walk huge stairs every day. Mean stairs. I did not like them. At the top of each stair was a fire hose.
The number 23 makes this just a little bit spooky :-)
I'm new here! Just put up my first one. :-)
Okay, Sue J, got ya fixed! :)
Thank you Willow for another awesome prompt! I have really enjoyed all the wonderful posts! :-)
This is the first time I am posting for the Magpie Tales. I found the concept extremely fascinating...Here is my post!!! :)Have a bright and beautiful week ahead!Cheers!
Hi allMy first thought when I saw the image, is they looked like prayer wheels...so perhaps my poem may differ from others!
Wow willow, lots of new entries. This is such a fun one to do. Mine is up finally. Been having blogger troubles.QMM
I've had a great time reading a lot of these this week and getting to know some new bloggers. I know I'm joining late, but here I am. Looking forward to more great writers and writing.Tina
