Willow, I need help...I STILL do not know if I did this correctly, and if it's the type stuff we do here. And if my "timeing" is right, or should I wait until Tuesday?
And is it OK to make it also a "55" thingy? Sorry, sometimes, rules make very little sense to me...I still run holding scissors by the handles. (But I don't run very far--get winded--grin!
I've enjoyed this week's one! So much I've stupidly posted it in both of my blogs. Apologies, Willow! Gee, all it takes is a couple of weeks off and I'm losing it. I'll be back in the swing in no time!
Thank you for a wonderful prompt! First time on the site, was told about this place from a person by the name of Jingle. Look forward to reading everyone's work.
Willow Magpie and All Magpies: Can't wait to read these and see just where, exactly, they are going to go! Always fun to read the magpies! This is so popular a site I have to think it may take awhile to read and comment; but I LOVE IT!!!
i love that you've created this community... i've had it on my heart to host a literary blog, much like the inklings... i've created 'imperfect prose on thursdays' but will participate in this as i might. thank you!
Ooops- I came across the picture on Steveroni's page- any way, I got a 55 out of it- a bit late- but it was fun thanks! ( I have to make sure I get my url right- I keep seeing 2 different ones! then I can do the linky thing)
I'm still trying to catch up with everyone's efforts for the past month! The story for this one crept up on my when I had to go for a gentleman's visit at 4am. (Way too much information! (-:)
so busy this weekend...but finally had time this afternoon to tap this one out. Hope you like it...my 21 year old son was watching The God-Father II, while I wrote this one...thus the inspiration came from more than one source.
Hi Willow, Mine's gone in twice. The first time it went back to the pencils again, but I think one of them goes to Fire. Could you please delete the one that's incorrect? Many thanks.
I've had a great time reading a lot of these this week and getting to know some new bloggers. I know I'm joining late, but here I am. Looking forward to more great writers and writing. Tina

Okay, so mine's about a bird. But hey, this is "Magpie" tales, after all, and it is likely that a magpie could eat a phoenix for lunch. ha!

ReplyDeleteHugs, Sue :)
I used to walk huge stairs every day. Mean stairs. I did not like them. At the top of each stair was a fire hose.
ReplyDeleteThe number 23 makes this just a little bit spooky :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm new here! Just put up my first one. :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, Sue J, got ya fixed! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Willow for another awesome prompt! I have really enjoyed all the wonderful posts! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I am posting for the Magpie Tales. I found the concept extremely fascinating...
ReplyDeleteHere is my post!!! :)
Have a bright and beautiful week ahead!

Hi all
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when I saw the image, is they looked like prayer wheels...so perhaps my poem may differ from others!
Wow willow, lots of new entries. This is such a fun one to do. Mine is up finally. Been having blogger troubles.
