Happy writing, friends...I'll be posting a bit later...
Thank you. Have to think about this one!
happy writing...nice pic :-)
Thanks, Tess, for reminding me of a Paris apartment some years ago...
Yeah...evocative photo...Thank you kindly, Tess :)
This is my very first poem, EVER. As a singer, I consider myself an interpreter of poetry, but I've never attempted to write it (other than when I was a child in school and it was assigned). Please be kind. ;)
Welcome to Magpie, Lynette! Excellent poem...I can't believe it's your first...
Good to be here... it's been awhile!
Thanks as always for the picture and the forum Tess.
this photo took me back to my childhood!
Was it just me, or did anyone else see this and feel that it was just screaming out to have a short video made with a Martian and soundtrack by Sister Rosetta Tharpe?
love how your mind works....but no!!!! xx
Hm, that sight of old signs puts me in a strange mood...
Sorry 'bout the dark nature of this one ... the voice just came to me ... and that sign ... and the 'why' of an empty apartment ... and looking up while passing by ... well, it just happened.
Loved the prompt. Had to rack my head a lot for this one :)
Image brought to mind a bit of a story this time, rather than a poem. Will be back to share soon!!
Came back to post. Sharing a story is a bit of a departure for me, but this is where the image took me!
Back after a long break. Thanks Tess.
threw in some piano
Lookie there, I made it and linked up on Monday. Must be a new speed record for me!
Thank you for this one, Tess, as I needed the escape it gave me. Happy Presidents Day and have a great week everyone!
Love this one, Tess. Brought back a lot of childhood memories.http://purplepeninportland.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/the-old-neighborhood/
Posted mine. :-)Also, does a commercial play for anyone else when they load the page?
A big of a struggle for me this week but managed to get some inspiration eventually! I need a vacation - with internet access, of course!
Hi there...Thanks again for sharing another beautiful prompt this week...I loved writing for this...do read my take and share your views..I would be glad to know more :)
Better late than never. :)http://catfish-tales.blogspot.nl/2014/02/apartment-to-let-mag-207.html
Good thought provoking prompt! :)
Happy writing indeed. I'm late, but here, as my weekend was busy, and my brain was pushing me to write a completely different magpie, so I had to fight against that, when something inside was egging me on for what I posted! So enjoyable, when not only an idea but more arrive, instead of those weeks, when I draw a blank! Photo perfection this week.
Beautiful prompt. Enjoyed the imagination and then the writing. Thanks Magpie tales.
Blessing to you Tess . . . it's been a while, but still intriguing, as always. -efC
love the reaction to the unique photos you place every week.... ms piehttp://pieceofpie.wordpress.com/2014/02/19/daylight-magpie207/
mine made me cry a bit. I need to stop writing about Triangle.
This looked like our first apartment as a young couple in Illinois. Great memories!=)
Done ... just before the new prompt arrives! Found this one a challenge. A scribble submitted anyway.
Yay! I am very late but am glad to join the party anyway. :-) Thanks for the prompt, Tess. :-)
Ye Gods, I am here by the skin of my teeth. Ready to start tonight's next, can't wait to see what Tess puts up.
