  2. Your picture inspired me to repost a short short story I wrote just last month. So, a bit of a cheat, but I think you'll still like A Plot Both Great and Grand.

  8. Mine is a revision of something I was compelled to write a couple of weeks ago...thanks for providing a "plot" for it to rest :-)

  9. Last time I looked I was going to be #13 but when I came to post, there were many more before #23. Imaginations have been in full gear! This reminds me of how much delight my father and I would take in wandering around old graveyards - much to my mother's distaste - she called our 'hobby' morbid curiousity!

  11. Thanks Tess. A photograph which I took in a heavy fashion! I am doing this post from a hotel lobby--I checked out a while ago, but snuck in from parking lot for wifi! Have a nice weekend. Thanks for the opportunity to post.

  12. Hope it doesn't look as though I've lost the plot with this one.

  13. I have tried something different and hope it will work. I linked to a facebook note since I don't really blog anymore. We will see if it links correctly. Thank you Magpie!

  24. Well, it took some 'percolating' and then a combo
    of things happened. Thanks.

  38. Apologies, Tess, my blog is out of action, I am experiencing virus problems and have temporarily gone offline to resolve the problems. Apologies to anyone who has clicked on my this week's link.

  39. Thanks Tess, for the wonderfully inspiring image.
Am happy to see at least so far, that no one went with the old epitaph that we've all probably read before about Lester Moore:
    HERE LIES
    LESTER MOORE
    FOUR SLUGS
    FROM A 44
    NO LES
    NO MORE
Although it may have made for an interesting cue to good little a fictional story. Food for thought.
    Back to reading!!

  42. Ooops. I have to repeat this comment. I edited my posting ID so that it would go directly to my blog. Here it is --- now the link will get to the right spot.

I liked this prompt! Thanks for great inspiration as always! I find I am gaining a little more academic discipline through this site, something that I always expected my students to have over the years...

  43. This prompt has been nibbling at the back of my consciousness since Sunday. It has taken this long for me to hatch my fledgling idea.

  44. Thank You Tess, this happened to bring out a lot of different emotions for me.

  45. Have been enjoying my blog romping this week, for the magpies are a flutter. I posted early, Scene Eleven of my cinemagenic series, but it seems a valuable lesson has been learned, for each week there have been less and less comments. Perhaps 12 weeks, final scene next week, is beyond presumptuous in such a forum, too lively, too graphic--but it has been fun for me. So one more stab at this new poetic form, and then it is back to more applicable responses to the images.

  46. Newbie here.

Looking forward to reading great work. :)

  47. It took me awhile but I finally uploaded my piece! It sorta touched me. I've written a death picture once and it really sinks into my soul. Death. But I hope everyone enjoys it!
